"Have you ever done any radio?"
Numerous times this year, people on calls have suggested that my voice would be good for radio. In my previous life as a singer and musician, I had been on numerous radio shows, and had frequently used the joke: "I have a face for radio.."
However... There was something in it. An idea that wouldnt quite let go..

Between touring as a musician, radio appearances and years of character voices, my mind frequently drifted back towards my youth at drama school, and making animation videos using the family camcorder, complete with all the strange and wonderful voices to go along with them. Every party when I was young would normally break down into me performing the most recent movie, complete with all the character voices and accents. Frequently my radio shows would turn into a form of improv character voices or imitations. I learned that copying the voices of The Little Red Puppet, The Fantasty Monster, or doing the voice of The Magnetic Mutant would entertain and keep the attention.
These thoughts consumed me one afteroon as I found myself in the car driving in to London, to record a voicereel at a studio I know, to start this journey properly. Maybe this way it might cut down the amount of people suggest I read Harry Potter books for a living!
